As a founding member of the Tamarac Historical Society, I have always been interested in history. Our organization has often been asked, “Why does Tamarac have a Historical Society?”

Calling all teenagers in Tamarac. The 2013 Teen Summit will be held this Saturday at the Tamarac Community Center and will focus on improving leadership, communication and teamwork skills.
In conjunction with the Parkland Historical Society, the City of Tamarac and the City of Coral Springs whom are also celebrating their 50th anniversary, a Tri-City Car Ride featuring the elected officials from all three municipalities will take place on Sunday, April 28th.
Caporella Aquatic Center is now open for the Spring. The City of Tamarac invites you this Saturday, April 27th, to their Spring Bash Swim Party where there will be swimming, music, free snow cones and raffles. Visit the park from 12pm to 4pm.

Tamarac’s 50th anniversary events continued on Friday night when the food trucks rolled in to the Sports Complex along with live music for some fun and relaxation for residents.
