Get Your Business Online with this Free Workshop

By: Sharon Aron Baron

Mayor Richard Kaplan with the City of Lauderhill wants to help businesses get online, and he’s on a mission along with other Florida cities to do it.

The fact is, over 97 percent of people look online for business, and still 68 percent of all businesses in Florida have no online presence.

The Mayor, along with the City of Lauderhill and The Small Business Development Center want to change this, and will be holding free workshops on December 5, January 16, and February 20, on how to Get Your Business On-Line (GYBO).  This interactive workshop will take the participants through the process, and by the end of the workshop, their website can be active.

Here’s what you will get:

  • Free 3 page Website and Design
  • Free Local Business Listing
  • Free Customized Domain name
  • Free Mobile Site
  • Free Web Hosting for an entire year
  • ONLY $6.99/month after the 1st year

Tamarac businesses are welcome, however, attendance preference will be given to Lauderhill businesses and residents, so sign up soon.  Each workshop is limited to 30 people and it is encouraged to call to sign up at   More about GYBO Here.

Okay, let’s get real here. Businesses don’t need the City to help them get online. Neither does government need to be in the business of getting businesses online. Free enterprise is called Free for a reason – having nothing to do with a FREE website.
If a business doesn’t know by now that there are hundreds – if not thousands of free online tools for their business – including facebook – they shouldn’t be in business. All this workshop does is provide third-world small business amateurs with another parasitic venue. And honestly looks like the workshop provider is a friend of a politician. Otherwise, the service would be sent out to bid, even though it’s free, which ultimately it is not.

  • Is this the same Mitch Pellecchia, of the Margate News, who hates The Gays and The Blacks?

Here’s a transcript of Pellecchia’s voice mail message to me:

You know what, I’m going to make you look like as asshole. Wait, you already are an asshole, so I can’t make you look like a fucking asshole.

Did I say fucking asshole, Chaz? Oh, I’m sorry.

Maybe I meant, make you look like a shithead. Or a fuckhead. Or a dickhead. Put a clitoris on your face. Or maybe Dave McLean’s dick up your fucking ass.

I don’t know. What are some other ideas?

Like putting your face on a Santa body blowing a fucking elf. Or eating out an AID’s infected fucking African.
