BSO needs your help identifying a man nicknamed “Stoner 89” along with another suspect observed on surveillance video utilizing a fraudulent credit card to purchase thousands of dollars in gift cards.
The September 28 and September 29 imagesf rom the Walmart in North Lauderdale show two suspects going inside the business and utilizing the credit card to make the purchases. In total, the pair racked up almost $11,000 in purchases at various businesses in various cities throughout the county. Both suspects seen in the video are black males. One has mid-length dreadlocks and is wearing gray shorts and a gray shirt with “Stoner 89” in red letters across the back and black slippers. The second man has a short fade and is wearing a white T-shirt, black shorts with red and white stripes on the sides, red socks and black slippers.
Anyone who can identify either of the suspects is asked to contact BSO Sergeant Thomas Gentile at 954-722-5800 or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or www.browardcrimestoppers.org. A reward of up to $3,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
