10 Auto Burglaries Reported in Tamarac in this Week’s Crime Update

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crimes through November 23.

Aggravated Assault

5700 block of  NW 54th Ter – Woodlands Estates

On November 19, following an argument inside their home, the suspect took a Glock 17 handgun, pointed it at victims, and made threats to kill both.

Auto Theft

560o block of Hiatus Rd

On November 17, a male reported that his gray 2016 Hyundai Sonata SE was stolen while he was inside at work.

200 block of NW 55th St

On November 22, a 2014 Chevy Impala was taken from the victim’s driveway by a male subject with dreadlocks.

Battery

5700 block of NW 60th Ave

On November 19, the victim stated that her ex-boyfriend had struck her multiple times after a verbal altercation.

8000 block of N Nob Hill Rd – St Andrews

On November 22, BSO responded to a domestic violence battery incident at the residence between a husband and his pregnant wife. The Special Victims Unit responded on scene to assist with the investigation. The husband was arrested.

8000 block of Fairview Dr

On November 22, the victim was kicked in the stomach during a verbal argument.

4500 block of NW 16th Ter – Tamarac Lakes

On November 23, during a verbal argument with her husband, the arrestee threw a water bottle at him and pushed him because he called her a whore and a cheater. The female was arrested and transported to the Main Jail.

Burglary Conveyance

4600 block of W Commercial Blvd

On November 17, an unknown subject followed the victim after a road rage incident and damaged his 2009 black Honda Accord.

4900 block of E Sabal Palm Blvd – Sabal Palm Apartments

On November 17, the caller advised that an unknown person burglarized his car by breaking his driver’s side window. There were no witnesses; the scene was processed for latent prints.

5100 block of Island Club Dr – Island Club Apartments

On November 17, the caller advised someone went into his parked car while he was away for three weeks and stole his insurance and registration card. There were no witnesses. The scene was processed for latent prints.

5400 block N State Road 7 – Lakeside Plaza

On November 17, the victim’s rainbow-colored handbag with passport, FLDL, and credit cards was taken from the front passenger floorboard. The vehicle may have been unlocked.

4000 block of Lakeside Dr

On November 17, BSO met with the caller, who advised an unknown subject smashed the front passenger window to her 2019 white Chevy Silverado pick-up truck. The scene was processed.

5100 block of Island Club Dr – Island Club

On November 17, Several vehicles were broken into. Multiple vehicles were burglarized by smashing out their windows. Only one victim’s property was reported stolen. Latent Prints collected.

5000 block of Island Club Dr – Island Club

On November 18, Sometime during overnight hours, the subject smashed out the driver’s side window, nothing missing from the vehicle.

8100 block of Prestige Commons Dr

On November 20, a reported unknown suspect(s) broke into the victim’s 2010 Toyota Corolla.

8400 block of Lagos De Campo Blvd

On November 20, an unknown suspect entered the victim’s vehicle by an unknown means then went through her glove compartment, removing the items inside such as papers but did not take anything. There was no loss.

Burglary Residence

85000 block NW 82nd St

On November 21, the victim advised unknown suspect(s) attempted to make forced entry into his residence through the patio sliding glass door. The victim believed the suspect(s) ran away because his alarm went off. No entry was made into the residence. See report.

8500 block NW 61st St – Spectra at Tamarac

On November 23, forced entry was made into an apartment. A security camera, 3x tv remote controls, and a pair of shoes were taken. The victim believes it was her child’s father who does not reside at the apartment.

Criminal Mischief

8100 block of  NW 70th Ave – Heathgate/Sunflower

On November 17, the reporting person stated that an unknown suspect threw a rock at the building window, causing approximately $600 worth of damage. No suspects at this time. There are no surveillance cameras in the area.

7100 block of NW 58th St – Mainlands Of Tamarac

On November 19, the reporting person advised that he witnessed four unknown juveniles damage the playground’s fence to make entry.

Domestic Disturbance

6400 block of W Pinehurst Cir

On November 19, the reporting party advised that her husband is verbally abusive. The caller advised that she feels controlled by her husband and is now feeling depressed due to this verbal abuse.

Fire

8000 block of S Colony Cir

On November 20, a plumber was soldering pipe in a wall, and the insulation caught on fire. Tamarac Fire Rescue extinguished the fire. The residents in two other units were relocated due to smoke damage.

Fraud

7600 block of South Hampton Ter

On November 18, the victim reports he received a phone call from a fake Bank of America rep stating his bank account had been hacked. Three hours later, he had realized a total of $42,000 had been taken out of his account.

Information

8000 block of Buttonwood Cir – Woodmont

On November 16, the resident wanted to document that her grandfather has hit her dogs on different occasions. No injuries, marks, and/or bruises were seen on the dogs.

Theft

610 block of Pleasant Hill Ln.

On November 16, two stock rims and tires were stolen off a 2018 Dodge Challenger. The total loss was $1,600.

3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS

On November 18, Arrestee selected multiple items from the business, concealed the items within the pockets of his jacket, and exited the store, making no attempt to pay for the items

Berrien, Chad Andre (B M, 44) was arrested on charges of Larc-Petit Theft 2nd Degree 3rd Subsq Offense at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 11/18/2020.

Teriaszwili, Victor A. (W M, 66) was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/ Deadly Weapon- Domestic Viol at 5700 NW 54th Ter, Tamarac, on 11/19/2020

Johnson, Robert James (W M, 50) was arrested on charges of Warrant-Violation of Probation Dui (No Bond) at 8799 W McNab Rd/N Pine Island Rd, Tamarac, on 11/21/2020.

Polk, Derrian (B M, 25) was arrested on charges of Possession Of Alprazolam-Xanax at 5301 N State Road 7, Tamarac, on 11/22/2020.

Polk, Derrian (B M, 25) was arrested on charges of Burglary of an Unoccupied Conveyance Unarmed – Across County Lines at 4204 Lakeside Dr, Tamarac, on 11/22/2020.

Claude, Christian (B M, 33) was arrested on charges of Agg Batt Offender Knew Or Should Victim Pregnant Dv (at 8010 N Nob Hill Rd, Tamarac, on 11/22/2020.

An unnamed (B M, 29) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 8020 Fairview Dr, Tamarac, on 11/22/2020.

Caudill, Sillian Isabel (W F, 36) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/Domestic Violance 4553 NW 16th Ter, Tamarac, on 11/23/2020.
