10 Vehicles Burglarized in Tamarac This Week in Crime

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac through August 24.

Auto Theft

6400 block of N University Dr – Concord Village Apartments

On August 17, a 2018, white Honda CRV FL was stolen from the victim’s residence by unknown suspect(s).

6100 block of Woodlands Blvd – Woodlands Condos

On August 18 – An unknown suspect stole a gray Nissan Altima and subsequently bailed out. The stolen vehicle was recovered at La Quinta Inn.

8000 block of Nw 75th Ave

On August 20, the victim said he parked his car in front of the home then returned to his vehicle the next day to find it missing.

4999 N State Road 7 – 7 Eleven

On August 20, two unknown black subjects stole a 2017 white Mercedes FL that was left running at a pump at the gas station. The vehicle was later recovered in Lauderdale Lakes and returned to the reporting person.

7500 block of NW 75th St

On August 21, a vehicle stolen vehicle out of Boca Raton was recovered in Tamarac in good condition. Latent prints lifted and submitted to evidence.

5700 block of NW 47th Ave – Central Parc

On August 20 BSO made contact with the victim who advised his vehicle was stolen. The unknown subject gained entry via a possible unlocked door.

Battery

8400 block of NW 61st St

On August 18, a physical altercation occurred between a dating couple, which resulted in the victim sustaining a punch on the face and a kick to the stomach. The victim refused medical assistance, photographs and statements were recorded. An Out of Custody PC was generated for the defendant.

7879 W Commercial Blvd – SunTrust Bank

On August 18, the Victim alleged suspect battered him during a dispute with him at the SunTrust Bank over compensation for a job done. The victim did not sustain any visible injuries. Both parties involved and witnesses gave similar versions of events. No PC done for the incident that occurred. The victim was informed procedure to file the case with the Office of the State Attorney to pursue charges.

2401 W Commercial Blvd – Speedway

On August 21 the victim and her child’s father had a verbal argument that became physical. The child’s father struck and pushed the victim against her will, costing her a busted upper lip and causing internal pain to the left side of her neck.

5800 block of NW 57th Ct

On August 22, the victim advised that he and the defendant were engaged in a verbal altercation which turned into a physical one once the defendant began to scratch the victim. The victim further stated that the defendant continued her physical attack by biting him in the left ear causing another small laceration.

9500 block of Weldon Cir

On August 23, the victim had invited the offender to stay overnight. They had an argument and the offender head-butted the victim which caused a visible injury. The offender was arrested.

Burglary Conveyance

5400 block of NW 26th Ter

On August 19, an unlocked vehicle was burglarized. It was unknown if any items were taken at this time due to the owner of the vehicle being out of town. The neighbor saw the front driver’s side vehicle door open that morning before leaving for work. The point of entry was the front driver’s side door. No prints collected. No surveillance was available.

7200 block of NW 84th St

On August 19, the victim reported his unlocked vehicle was broken into overnight and his wallet was stolen with credit cards.

5300 block of Date Palm Pl – Woodlands

On August 20, BSO met with the caller who advised an unknown subject broke into her vehicle and removed two hands bags.

6701 Hiatus Rd – City Furniture

On August 20, a 2016 Red Hyundai Elantra was burglarized. The victim’s clothes and three pairs of Jordan sneakers were stolen from the backseat. Prints were unfounded.

5200 W Prospect Rd – Caporella Park

On August 20, an unknown suspect(s) made forced entry into the victim’s vehicle while parked at Caporella Park and stole a Coach purse containing multiple items. No surveillance video in the area.

8200 block of NW 74th Ave

On August 21, a witness observed a B/M wearing a gray hoodie jacket with black pants attempt to open doors of multiple vehicles at the above-listed location.

5700 block of NW 47th Av – Central Parc

On August 21, BSO made contact with the victim who advised between his vehicle was burglarized. An unknown subject gained entry via a possible unlocked door and took several items from the vehicle.

5900 block of N Pine Island Rd – Spectra

On August 20, the victim advised her vehicle was broken into and the airbag was removed.

11000 W McNab Rd – Sunset Point Park

On August 21, the victim’s passenger side window was smashed and an imitation Louis Vuitton purse was removed from the Lexus LC500.

4500 block of Treehouse Ln

On August 21, a 9mm pistol was stolen out of the victim’s orange Volkswagen Jetta.

Domestic Disturbance

5600 block of NW 47th Ln – Sabal Palm

On August 20, the wife advised she and her husband had a verbal argument which became physical. She said her husband told her to leave the room and pushed her which caused her to fall and against a wall and hit her right knee. no visible injuries and the husband denied the allegations. Both parties admitted they were drinking alcoholic beverages prior to the incident.

5600 block of Bayberry Ln – Woodlands

On August 20, BSO responded to Domestic Disturbance between a husband and wife.

Drugs/Narcotics

9900 block of Westwood Dr

On August 18, the subject stopped for a traffic infraction and found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. The subject is on felony probation for narcotics and was arrested for violation of parole.

Fraud

5500 block of NW 31st Ave – Prospect Park Apartments

On August 20, the victim advised she has received five fraudulent checks in the mail after replying to a Facebook Ad and agreeing to advertise companies using her personal vehicle. Evidence collected.

Lost Property

7875 NW 57th St – US Post Office

On August 18, a resident lost her wallet in the parking lot of the Post Office.

Theft/Shoplifting

3101 W Commercial Blvd – 7 Eleven

On August 18, a male stole two cases of Corona beer and fled to the Home Towne Hotel.

3914 W Commercial Blvd – Walgreens

On August 18, the reporting person wanted to report the theft of several items from Walgreens.

4661 NW 31st Ave – Daddyos Liquors

On August 19, the manager of the liquor store advised he wanted to report a delayed theft of a case of Patron Silver tequila. Two subjects possibly involved.

3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS

On August 20, an unknown white male entered CVS and stole approximately $124.12 worth of items.

3101 W Commercial Blvd – 7 Eleven

On August 20, a black male suspect entered the store, collected multiple items, and exited the store without paying.

4121 W Commercial Blvd – Publix

On August 21, a woman was placed in custody and released with a notice to appear for petty theft after she walked out of the store without paying for concealed merchandise totaling $64.04.

3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS

On August 22, an unknown black female and an unknown black male entered CVS selected multiple miscellaneous items, and exited the store via the emergency side door. Subjects took off in a white minivan bearing Arizona tag. The total loss was $1,080.83.

Theft

6500 block of NW 58th St

On August 19, the elderly victim reported two unknown subjects approached her outside of her residence and offered to take measurements of the property. One suspect distracted the victim inside her residence and stole her jewelry (an unknown value) when she stepped away.

4500 block of Treehouse Ln – Arbor Keys

On August 20, a woman believes her ex-girlfriend stole $1,000 cash from her bathroom along with committing a large number of fraudulent transactions through cash app & her bank account.

6100 block of Pine Tree Ln – Banyan Lakes

On August 20, a woman advised she observed a black male subject later identified, take items from the mailboxes outside her residence. The subject was detained, Probable cause searched revealed 21 different mail items in the backpack.

Theft Motor Vehicle Parts

6000 block of N Sabal Palm Blvd – Lakes of Carriage Hills

On August 21, BSO made contact with the victim who advised unknown subject(s) stole two tires off of her vehicle.

Collins, Martin Luther (B M, 27) was arrested on charges of Battery-cause Bodily Harm- Dating Violence at 8459 Nw 61st St, Tamarac, on 08/18/2020.

Gomez, Cesar Alejandro (W M, 25) was arrested on charges of Possess And/or Use Drug Paraphernalia at 9901 Westwood Dr, Tamarac, on 08/18/2020.

Lee, Maudell Thompkins (B F, 61) was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 2nd Degree 1st Offense at 4121 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 08/21/2020.

Bouloute, Rosbert Junior (B M, 45) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 2401 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 08/21/2020.

Burke, D’vonte Antione (B M, 21) was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/deadly Weapon-dating Viol at 4636 NW 59th Ct, Tamarac, on 08/22/2020.

Lehmann, Christopher Jacob (W M, 33) was arrested on charges of Battery-touch Or Strike at 9551 Weldon Cir, Tamarac, on 08/23/2020.

Hernandez, Roberto (W M, 49) was arrested on charges of Warrant – Violation of parole – Grand Theft (Motor Vehicle) No Bond, at 3150 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 08/23/2020.
