Allegations of Animal Abuse After Dog Left All Day Outside in Box

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crimes through September 21.

Aggravated Assault

7004 NW 99th Way

On September 16, the victim stated that the suspect picked up a black axe, racked it over his head, and walked toward him with it. The suspect then swung the knife at a nearby wooden table, putting the victim in fear of his life and safety.

Animal Abuse

7900 block of NW 74th Ave – Heathgate/Sunflower

On September 16, an animal rights group made allegations of animal abuse after seeing a thin dog in the backyard of a home left all day in the heat inside of a wooden crate/box.

Auto Theft

8700 block of NW 61st – Spectra at Tamarac Apartments

On September 15, an unknown suspect(s) stole the 2020 black Honda Civic from the apartment complex parking lot. No video surveillance or witnesses available.

9100 block of W Commercial Blvd

On September 17, a victim’s 2018 Infiniti Q60 was stolen.

Burglary Business

6800 block of Hiatus Rd – Rcx Tilt Up Construction Inc Tamarac, FL,

On September 15, an unknown person(s) stole a skid loader from a closed construction site overnight.

Burglary Conveyance

4999 N State Road 7 – 7 Eleven

On September 16, a W/F and W/M subject seen on camera reaching into the victim’s car and then running back to their vehicle, which was at the gas pump, and fled the scene. The victim’s handbag and cellphone were taken.

5760 block of Hampton Hills Blvd – Hampton Hills

On September 17, an unknown suspect(s) made entry into the victim’s vehicles while parked at their respective parking lots. Nothing was stolen. No forced entry was made. Both vehicles were unlocked. No surveillance video in the area.

5800 block Plum Bay Pkwy – Plum Bay

ON September 18, a victim had had his black wallet with credit cards, and FL DL removed from his Land Rover removed from the center console.

9100 block of Pershore Pl – Hampton Hills

On September 18, a vehicle burglary was reported.

7400 block of Corkwood Ter – The Hollows

On September 19, five unlocked vehicles ransacked. One victim suffered additional fraud; Plantation PD is investigating the Fraud. Latent Prints lifted. No video or witnesses.

8500 block of NW 57th Ct

On September 21, an unknown subject was pulling vehicle door handles (2001 Mazda 3 and entered into a Chevy Colorado that was unlocked. The unknown subject stole six-packs of Marlboro Cigarettes and a UM Face Mask, total value $60.00. Video footage was obtained from a Ring Doorbell.

4800 block of NW 51st Ter

On September 21, a victim reported a burglary to her 2015 silver Toyota Corolla, and another reported a burglary attempt to his 2001 white Honda CRV.

Criminal Mischief

4100 block of Lakeside Dr

On September 18, an unknown male subject was observed using a metal pole to smash the victim’s silver Toyota Corolla windows.

Domestic Disturbance

4400 block of Treehouse Ln

On September 18, the subjects involved in the disturbance are in the processing of getting a divorce. Due to conflicting statements, BSO was unable to determine if a crime occurred between them.

Fraud

4100 block of W Commercial Blvd

On September 16, Complainant advised she wired $7531.76 through her bank to a fraudulent company.

Retail Theft

3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS

On September 17, three female subjects entered the CVS, grabbed various miscellaneous items, and then proceeded to exit the store, passing all points of sale.

6401 W Commercial Blvd – Walgreens

On September 18, an unknown male and an unknown female entered and exited the pharmacy with multiple boxes of diapers without rendering payment.

Theft

5881 N University Dr – Publix

On September 17, the victim accidentally dropped her wallet while in the check-out line at Publix. Minutes later, another customer used the same check-out line and was about to leave until she was alerted by a store associate of the wallet on the floor. The customer (suspect) picked the wallet up, as it was hers, placed it inside her purse, and left the store.

7425 N University Dr – University Pavilion

On September 17, a woman advised she believes her father’s ring was stolen while he was being treated at the hospital

7600 block of NW 74th Ave

On September 18, a caller advised he allowed a female friend to use his motorcycle tag on her scooter. He then stated he had received charges against the same tag from Florida highway tolls.

Trespassing

6931 N Pine Island Rd – Walmart

On September 15, the subject was given a trespass warning by a manager. The subject then deliberately walked into the store in violation of the warning and was arrested.

Gaines, Donnelle Antoine (B M, 31) was arrested on charges of Trespassing-after Warning-structure Or Conveyance at 6931 N Pine Island Rd, Tamarac, on 09/15/2020.

Yazdanfar, Daryoush Michael (W M, 27) was arrested on charges of Cnt:1 Burglary (conveyance/battery) No Bond at 8300 Black Olive Dr, Tamarac, on 09/15/2020.

De Nova, Michael Joseph (W M, 34) was arrested on charges of Resist Officer-obstruct Wo Violence at 5814 Nw 81st Ave, Tamarac, on 09/19/2020.

Gagnet, Alexandra Nicole (W F, 24) was arrested on charges of Warrant at 5814 Nw 81st Ave, Tamarac, on 09/19/2020.

Fernandez, Percy Jose (W M, 41) was arrested on charges of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs Offense at 8501 N University Dr, Tamarac, on 09/20/2020.

Fenton, Caswell Lloyd (B M, 38) Awas arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/ Deadly Weapon- Domestic Viol at 7105 Nw 78th Av, Tamarac, on 09/20/2020.
