Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime through March 15, 2021.
Auto Theft
8000 block of Nob Hill Rd – St Andrews
On March 13, a vehicle was left running in front of the residence while the owner was inside. When she came outside, her vehicle was gone. Tot. Est. Loss: $4,380.
Battery
5740 Rock Island Rd – Sun Vista Gardens
On March 10, the victim was struck by the suspect with a closed fist against his will. The victim refused to give a taped statement and was photographed to show injury to their face.
6455 W Commercial Blvd – Moments Restaurant and Lounge
On March 11, Reporting person advised that a suspect battered her at a bar more than three weeks prior.
6101 N University Dr – IHOP
On March 13, BSO met with the victim, who called about two females and one male who entered the restaurant and started a disturbance which ultimately ended with one of the females pepper-spraying two customers.
Domestic Disturbance
8191 W Commercial Blvd – InTown Suites Extended Stay
On March 9, the victim contacted police, stating that she and the suspect were arguing and that he had a gun. The call also stated that the suspect.was driving without a valid driver’s license, and that he was speeding out of the parking lot.
8060 NW 96th Ter – Coral Vista Apartments
On March 10, a man attempted to enter a residence after the victim ignored his text messages and refused to talk to him.
Fraud
7879 W Commercial Blvd – SunTrust Bank
On March 10, the person deposited $2,000 worth of fake Western Union money orders at a SunTrust location in Tamarac.
Suspicious Person
5703 NW 94th Ave – Challenger Elementary
On March 9, a suspicious person/incident. A worker for an outside company was not allowed to sign in to work at the school.
Theft
8301 W Commercial Blvd – Comfort Suites
On March 12, two Peterbilt 567 trucks in transit to the dealership from the manufacture were stolen during the overnight hours from the vacant lot next to the motel.
Arrests
Jackson, Annissa Marie (B F, 22) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol 5740 Rock Island Rd, Tamarac, on 03/10/2021.
Patterson, Marvin Ramon (B M, 44) was arrested on charges of Larc-Petit From Merchant Second Or Subsequent Cnv at 4197 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 03/13/2021.
Orozco Modesto, Anselmo Emmanuel (W M, 26) was arrested on charges of Warrant/vop – DUI at 7700 Bailey Rd, Tamarac, on 03/13/2021.
