Let the Holidays begin! November 21, is opening day for the annual Holiday Fantasy Lights at Tradewinds Park. You and your family are immersed in the holiday spirit as you drive through the park and see all of the great displays. Continuing with the holiday spirit please check out our local small businesses throughout Broward County on Small Business Saturday, November 28. For every dollar that you spend at a small business 68 cents stays right here in our community. Let’s get out there and support our friends and neighbors as we kick off the holiday season in South Florida!
Looking to work with companies and countries from around the world? Broward County is hosting the 11th annual Florida International Trade and Cultural Expo (FITCE) at the Broward County Convention Center on November 18-19. This event focuses on areas like Artificial Intelligence and Global Procurement. The event attracts more than 2,000 attendees per year, from 70 countries around the world and right here in Broward County. FITCE provides connections and growth opportunities for attendees and exhibitors alike. For more information, visit Broward.org/EconDev to find out how Broward County can help your business grow.
Let’s come together on November 11 as we celebrate our country’s veterans. Honor those who serve and continue to serve our communities by saying thank you. There are various ways to get involved with the organizations that support veterans. If you have a business, participate in the Paychecks for Patriots Job Fair in Tamarac hosted by Career Source Broward on November 17. Broward County Parks will also be providing free admission on November 8 for all veterans and will also be hosting VetFest at Tradewinds Park from 1-4 pm! These men, women, and their families are the backbone of our community, and we owe them a debt of gratitude for their service.
Finally, whether you are flying out for turkey dinner, hitting the road to Grandma’s house or burning a few calories at the Tamarac Turkey Trot, from my family to yours, we wish you a great Thanksgiving. Please consider donating to one of the many organizations that make Thanksgiving possible for those less fortunate. As we begin the holiday season, our community comes together in support of each other. Enjoy the many upcoming holiday events throughout District 3!
