BSO Arrests Suspect in North Lauderdale Murder Case

On Friday, homicide detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office made an arrest in the murder of a man in North Lauderdale.

According to investigators, at around 12:26 a.m. on January 3, BSO deputies responded to a shooting call at 8230 S.W. Fourth Court in North Lauderdale. 

Upon arrival, they found an adult male unresponsive in the driveway of the residence with multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

After reviewing evidence, surveillance footage, and witness statements, homicide detectives were able to identify Mickeyvin Brown, 20, as the shooter. 

On Friday afternoon, BSO’s North Lauderdale District Crime Suppression Team (CST) located Brown while he was driving his Nissan Maxima in Tamarac. Deputies conducted a traffic stop and took Brown into custody.

Brown has been transported to the BSO Main Jail and is facing charges of second-degree murder with a firearm, first-degree felony with a weapon, and probation violation.
