BSO Tamarac Invites Families to Get Up Close With Emergency Vehicles at Touch-A-Truck Event 4

Families will have a chance to climb aboard emergency vehicles and meet local first responders when the Broward Sheriff’s Office Tamarac District hosts a Public Safety Expo and Touch-A-Truck event in September.

The free community event will be held Saturday, Sept. 19, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Community Christian Church, 10001 W. Commercial Blvd. in Tamarac.

BSO Tamarac is partnering with Tamarac Fire Rescue for the family-friendly event, which will give children an up-close look at fire trucks, law enforcement vehicles and other emergency equipment used by first responders.

Children will be able to explore the vehicles while families meet deputies and firefighters who serve the Tamarac community.

The event is part of BSO’s community outreach efforts. The sheriff’s office has provided law enforcement services to Tamarac since 1989 and regularly partners with city departments on community programs and events.
