First-time buyers looking for their dream home but don’t want to get outbid in this competitive market are invited to participate in a home purchase lottery by the City of Tamarac.

Located in the Sunflower community, the four bedrooms, the two-and-a-half-bathroom house is 1,816 square feet, completely remodeled with new impact windows and doors. Freshly painted inside and out, it boasts new kitchen cabinets, appliances, and a new central A/C unit.

A newly paved driveway and landscaping give the property a curb appeal.

The home is priced at $365,000 for qualified, approved buyers to enter for the opportunity to purchase.

Participants must submit a Letter of Intent with a current loan approval by October 29. All names are then entered into a computerized selection system where a random drawing will select one applicant and four alternates.

The selected buyer will be notified by email and U.S. mail and can then proceed with the home purchase process to obtain the property.

An open house is scheduled for November 17.

As part of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program, all applicants must be first-time homebuyers and meet income requirements set by The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

Sole buyers must earn under $73,920; a family of two $84,480; and four under $105,600.

Letters of intent can be sent to housing@tamarac.org. Contact the City of Tamarac Community Development Department, Housing Division at 954-597-3549.
