By: Chris Brunner

School’s out, summer’s in, and so is wrestling with CCW’s Summer Glory. On Saturday, June 23, Coastal Championship Wrestling returns to its home at Coral Springs Charter School with their biggest show to date.

For the first time, former WWE Heavyweight Champion Alberto el Patron comes to South Florida. El Patron has had an illustrious career spanning every corner of the globe, and his quest for glory has now led him to Coastal Championship Wrestling. As the son of Dos Caras and the nephew of Mil Mascaras, he has the blood of luchador royalty running through his veins. He is joined by younger brother Hijo de Dos Caras, who carries with him the masked traditions of their family. Fans can’t miss this star-studded debut.

Returning to CCW is the Jurassic Juggernaut, Vince Steele. The 6’6 towering inferno is back by popular demand, having turned the tide of the crowd and managing to win the hearts of the CCW fanbase.

“He’s had a favorable change in attitude since his last appearance,” said CCW Commissioner Eric Rosenauer. “Since he left such a lasting impact on the fans, I’ve decided to bring him back for this event.”

The night will also see the most intense battle yet between the Technical Alchemist David Mercury and Main Event Training Center standout Alex Flash. The fierce rivalry between them has spanned for months, with each match being plagued with interference and controversy. Now their war culminates in the ultimate challenge – a lumberjack match. With the whole CCW roster at ringside, who will prevail? The dastardly Mercury, or the rookie sensation Flash?

CCW Women’s Champion Chelsea Durden defends her coveted title against Puerto Rico’s own Vanilla Vargas. Vargas’s international experience has made her the number one contender for a chance to unseat Durden. Don’t miss this high stakes title match up.

Summer Glory will be graced by two of the most legendary voices ever known by the world of professional wrestling- former WCW ring announcer David Penzer, and former WWE Spanish commentator Hugo Savinovich. With well over 50 years of wrestling knowledge and history between them, fans are in for a treat with Savinovich and Penzer at the table.

Renowned tag team The Nasty Boys will also be in attendance at Summer Glory. These WCW/WWE legends have traveled the world for the past 25 years, and are headed to CCW for the first time. Meet and greet with the nastiest team in wrestling history.

Also featured that night will be the CCW Heavyweight Champion Santos, Southeastern Champion Stryker Ramirez, one half of the Tag Team Champions The Superhero in Training, fan favorite Cha Cha Charlie, MechaWolf 450, the Puerto Rican tag team Power Rule, and many more of your CCW favorites.

With a lumberjack match, a women’s championship match, a grudge match, and everything in between, this event promises to be the most action-packed ride yet. Don’t miss out on a roster full of warriors competing for their shot at glory on Saturday, June 23rd at Coastal Championship Wrestling’s Summer Glory.
