All schools will be closed until May 1. This includes Broward County Public Schools located in Tamarac.

The Commissioner of Education has recommended that all Florida public and private K-12 school campuses extend campus closures through May 1, 2020.
This recommendation follows President Donald J. Trump and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) extension of social distancing guidelines until April 30.
This was also confirmed by Broward County Public Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie in a statement on Tuesday.
Commissioner Richard Corcoran said, “While we work together to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, one constant remains—students can and will continue to receive a great education in Florida. It is essential that students do not fall behind and are still receiving instruction, even when they are not in the classroom.”
Additional guidance will be released in the following days. The Florida Department of Education’s www.fldoe.org/em-response has a page dedicated to best practices for distance learning and hundreds of free resources for Florida students, parents, and teachers.
On March 17, Corcoran strongly recommended that Florida school districts extend their spring breaks and close campuses until April 15, following the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) issuing guidance specific to COVID-19 in Florida.
