Furry Friends Buttons and Ginger Bear Need Forever Homes

Buttons and Ginger.

By Sharon Aron Baron

If you’re in search of a new furry companion, look no further than Buttons and Ginger Bear, two adorable animals with hearts full of love and unique personalities.

Thanks to the generous support of J.R. Dunn Jewelers, Buttons’ adoption fee is sponsored, making it even easier to bring these lovable pets into your home.

Meet Buttons: The Clever Canine

Buttons is not your average dog; she’s an extraordinary pup with a sharp mind and a heart of gold. At just six years old, she’s already mastered commands like heel, sit, and down, making her a breeze to train, especially when there are treats involved.

Speaking of treats, Buttons is a bit on the chunky side at 65 pounds, but that’s only because she’s a true foodie. With a little help from an active family, she’ll slim down in no time while having a blast.

One of Buttons’ favorite pastimes is playing with toys, especially a game of fetch that can go on for hours. She might not always return the ball, but her joy in chasing it is contagious. Buttons is also incredibly friendly, getting along famously with people of all ages, including kids.

She’s even crate-trained and knows when it’s time to head to the door for a bathroom break. Buttons is waiting for a forever home where she can share her love and zest for life.

Ginger Bear: The Plump and Precious Feline

Meet Ginger Bear, a charming six-year-old cat with a longing for cuddles and companionship. Sadly, she was surrendered because her previous owner had to move and couldn’t take her along.

Ginger Bear is a bit plump at 15+ pounds, but that just means there’s more of her to adore. She’s never lived with other pets or children, so a calm and quiet home would suit her best.

To meet Buttons, Ginger Bear, or any other pets looking for their forever homes, simply fill out a pre-adoption application on the Humane Society of Broward County’s website at www.humanebroward.com.

You can then visit the shelter located at 2070 Griffin Road, Fort Lauderdale, FL, which opens daily at 11 a.m. For any inquiries or further information, don’t hesitate to call 954-989-3977 ext. 6.
