Drop-Off Hurricane Irma Supplies at Coral Square Mall

Tamarac residents who would like to be a part of the Hurricane Irma relief effort but don’t how, can drop-off much needed items at Coral Square Mall.

Simon Malls, management company for Coral Square is working with the Red Cross to give back to the community and help those who were impacted by last weekend’s hurricane.

With more than 500 families from Monroe County taking shelter at Florida International University, all donated goods such as blankets, pillows, non-perishable foods, paper plates, plastic ware, portable phone chargers and water helps those that lost their homes.

Sara Valega, Area Director of Marketing for Miami International Mall and Coral Square said, “We’ve received many requests from the community about how they can help Hurricane Irma victims, and we’re glad to offer a way for our customers to assist people in need.”

Coral Square Mall has resumed its regular hours, so while customers are visiting restaurants and shopping they are free to donate any goods at the mall management office, located by the food court between Sprint and Payless Shoes between 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Donations will be accepted until September 30.

“Our thoughts are with all those who have suffered due to Hurricane Irma and its lingering effects,” said Valega.
