With thousands of local elections on the ballot and qualifying deadlines fast approaching, a local nonpartisan organization is inviting prospective candidates and community leaders to prepare for the challenges ahead.
The Florida Institute for Political Leadership, an initiative of the Florida Chamber of Commerce, is hosting a free, statewide online Campaign School & Community Leadership Training later this month. The non-partisan initiative consists of a two-part online training program that is open to everyone, and is highly recommended for those considering a run for local or state office, those serving their communities, or anyone interested in managing campaigns.
The program begins on Wednesday, August 27, from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a session focused on preparing to run and organizing a campaign.
On Thursday, August 28, participants will gather again at the same time to take part in a critical skills workshop on fundraising and campaign management.
Attendees may join one or both online sessions. Click here to register.
For more information, interested participants can email organizers at info@fipl.org.
