For the 11th year, Mayor Michelle Gomez was elected to another term on the National League of Cities 2022 Transportation and Infrastructure Services Federal Advocacy Committee.
The committee provides strategic direction and guidance for the NLC’s federal advocacy agenda and policy priorities, including federal funding, safety, and innovation in all modes of transportation.
It is one of the National League of Cities’ seven Federal Advocacy Committees comprised of local officials from member cities throughout the country.
As a member, Mayor Gomez plays a vital role among a diverse group of local leaders in shaping NLC’s policy positions and advocating before Congress on behalf of U.S. municipalities, according to a news release.
President Mayor Vince Williams of Union City, Georgia, said, “I am excited to have Mayor Gomez serve on the Transportation and Infrastructure Services Committee and look forward to working with her to fulfill the promise of America’s cities, towns, and villages.”
The National League of Cities is an organization comprised of city, town, and village leaders focused on improving the quality of life for their current and future constituents.
