Lucky Lauderhill Lady Wins $1 Million Florida Lottery Scratch-off Prize

Lauderhill resident Angelic Cokely is celebrating a life-changing moment after winning a staggering $1 million prize in the Florida Lottery’s $1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular  Scratch-Off game.

The 43-year-old claimed her prize at the Florida Lottery’s Miami District Office, opting for a one-time lump-sum payment of $640,000.00.

Cokely’s remarkable win came from a ticket purchased at Publix at 5855 West Oakland Park Boulevard in Lauderhill. The retailer will also receive a $2,000 bonus commission for selling the winning Scratch-Off ticket.

The $1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular  Scratch-Off game, which made its debut in February, offers players the chance to secure two top prizes of $1 million a year for life, alongside 234 additional prizes of $1 million. With a total prize pool exceeding $1.6 billion in cash, the game has captured the attention of Floridians across the state.

Scratch-Off games, like the $1,000,000 a Year for Life Spectacular  Scratch-Off game, are an integral part of the Florida Lottery’s game portfolio, accounting for approximately 72 percent of ticket sales during the fiscal year 2022-2023.
