A man was arrested in North Lauderdale for child pornography after authorities received a tip leading to his arrest.
Broward Sheriff’s Office Internet Crimes Against Children arrested Thomas Lee Jr, 28, of Fort Lauderdale on October 29 at Lee’s grandmother’s home, at the 1800 block of S.W 81st Ave.
Lee was charged with 19 counts for possessing materials depicting sexual performance by a child and one count of sending or receiving computer pornography.
Police obtained two search warrants for the home and Lee’s other residence in Fort Lauderdale. Upon searching both homes, all of Lee’s electronic devices were seized for evidence.
After authorities received a tip of Lee’s activities, they did further investigation, which revealed that Lee had crimes ranging from Nov.8,2017 through May 27, 2020, including aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault.
Lee is currently being held at Broward County Main Jail on a $300,000 bond.
