A BMX bicycle was an armed robber’s mode of transportation when he chose to hit a Tamarac convenience store.
In surveillance video just released today by the Broward Sheriff’s Office, a male on a BMX bicycle rode up to the 7-Eleven at 5600 Nob Hill Road in the city of Tamarac on the evening of December 8, ran into the store, jumped over the counter and pointed the gun at the clerk’s head telling him he had five seconds to open the register.
He emptied the cash from both registers into a tan colored bag, possibly a reusable shopping bag, then jumped the counter and fled on his bike.
Robbery detectives are searching for the unidentified robber who wore a dark zip-up hooded-sweatshirt, a black T-shirt, black pants and a mask.
