Millennium 6-12 Collegiate Academy in Tamarac was placed on lockdown Friday after authorities received an unconfirmed report of a weapon on campus, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators said no weapon was found, and the incident was deemed unfounded, leading authorities to lift the lockdown.
Shortly before 11:30 a.m. Friday, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a suspicious incident at the school related to a weapon.
The school was temporarily place on lockdown in an abundance of caution while BSO Tamarac deputies investigated, but nothing was found, according to the agency.
