Tamarac welcomed a new Dunkin’ Donuts to the city’s business community on Saturday morning.
The Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony, followed by a party featuring a DJ, raffles, and other family activities.
“It is great to be in Tamarac, and this is really about the people. I want this to be a place where people come, have a cup of coffee, and good food,’ said the owner, Amyn Lakhani.
Mayor Michelle J. Gomez participated in the ribbon-cutting and said, “This new restaurant will be good for the community, and I want it to be a community center where people will get together for a cup of coffee and doughnuts.”
Families enjoyed spending a morning together eating doughnuts. Linda Murdock came with her eight-year-old daughter, Isabella. “My daughter got a flyer about this opening at her school, Tamarac Elementary, and we wanted to try it. This is a good place to get a cup of coffee and doughnuts,” said Murdock.
Located at 7003 North Pine Island Road/88th Avenue, business hours are 4:30 a.m.–8 p.m. weekdays, and 5 a.m.–8 p.m. weekends.
