An alert Tamarac neighbor saw something suspicious and ended up stopping a burglary in progress by using her instincts.
The neighbor first noticed a black pick-up truck slowly drive by her residence at around 1:15 p.m today in Mainlands 5. The vehicle came back by and stopped at a neighbor’s residence. Knowing that the neighbor was currently out of the country, she watched and witnessed an unknown male exit the truck, walk to the side of the residence, and begin removing the air conditioning unit.
The alert neighbor immediately called Broward Sheriff’s Office in Tamarac at 911 where deputies quickly responded to the area and took the subject into custody.
BSO thanks the alert neighbor. She noticed something that didn’t look quite right, followed her instincts, and a criminal went to jail.
