Oh Ship! Opens in Tamarac With Around-the-Clock Package Drop-Off 6

A new shipping and business services center in Tamarac is offering mailbox customers a way to drop off packages around the clock.

Oh Ship!, at 8267 N. Pine Island Road in the Cypress Commons plaza, announced that its 24-hour drop-off service accepts packages for the U.S. Postal Service, FedEx, UPS and SpeedX.

The service allows Oh Ship! mailbox holders to enter the store’s lobby using a digital key fob and place packages in a secure locker. Customers receive an email confirming their deposit and another the following morning after staff members scan the package. Employees then transfer packages to the appropriate carrier at its next scheduled pickup.

“Packages don’t stop at 7 p.m., and neither do our customers,” said owner Keenan Singh. “A lot of the people we serve are running businesses or working during the day, and the last thing they need is to plan their evening around a store closing. With 24/7 drop-off, you ship on your schedule, not ours.”

The service is designed for small-business owners, shift workers, online sellers and others who need to drop off packages outside regular store hours.

Oh Ship! is a FedEx Authorized Ship Center and UPS Authorized Shipping Outlet. Customers can ship packages through either carrier at the counter, where employees compare rates.

The business also serves as an authorized Vinted Go Shop. Vinted sellers can drop off prepaid packages, while buyers can select the store as a pickup location at checkout and retrieve orders using a pickup code.

Other services include physical and virtual mailbox rentals with an online mail portal, printing, bulk printing, notary services, passport and identification photos, fingerprinting, scanning, faxing and on-site shredding. The store also sells office and mailing supplies.

Singh said he founded the business in part to teach his two daughters about entrepreneurship and hard work.

“We wanted to build a neighborhood shop where people are known by name,” he said. “The 24/7 drop-off is one way we’re trying to make everyday errands a little easier for our neighbors in Coral Springs and Tamarac.”

The store is at 8267 N Pine Island Rd on the corner of Pine Island Road and Southgate Boulevard, near the Coral Springs border. Regular hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday. Mailbox holders have around-the-clock access to the drop-off locker.
