Tamarac’s newest fire rescue station will be officially dedicated and the public is welcome to attend the event.
Built in 1978, Station 78, one of four in the city, sits on Commercial Boulevard next to the Florida Turnpike and has been rebuilt into a 9,300-square-foot facility, including an upgraded fitness room, office space and a day room for firefighters at a cost of $3.8 million.
Come tour the station and meet artist Albert Paley who created the signature sculpture that graces the top of the building. The event takes place Thursday, May 11, at 10:30 a.m. Parking is limited for only a select few, so take the shuttle nearby provided. Light refreshments will be served.
