Dodge Journey involved in carjacking.

Two carjackers robbed a bank messenger by gunpoint in Tamarac and the FBI considers the suspects to be armed and dangerous.
On January 7 around 2:00 p.m., two unidentified subjects, who were described as black males wearing masks, traveling in a black SUV carjacked at gunpoint a bank messenger near 4101 Commercial Blvd. According to the report, a robber displayed a gun and forced the messenger, who was transporting documents between banking locations and driving a silver four door sedan, from the car.
According to the FBI, the carjacking is in violation of The Hobbs Act, a federal statute prohibiting actual or attempted robbery or extortion affecting interstate or foreign commerce “in any way or degree” and is a federal crime for taking of a motor vehicle with intent to cause death or serious bodily harm.
The robbers’ vehicle is a black Dodge Journey SUV and the stolen bank messenger’s vehicle is a silver 2012 Toyota Camry, FL tag GBRV76.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office, South Florida Violent Crime Task Force and the FBI continue their investigation.
