Tamarac Crime and Arrest Update Through January 4

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crimes through January 4, 2021.

Auto Theft

4900 blvd E Sabal Blvd – Sabal Palm

On January 2, BSO deputies received a LoJack hit for a stolen 2018 Silver Range Rover. Deputies located the vehicle, and West Way towed it.

8400 block of NW 61st St – Spectra

On January 3, a Blue 2014 Infiniti Q50 with a temporary Texas tag was taken by unknown means with an overnight time delay.

Battery

6931 Pine Island Rd – Walmart Neighborhood Market

On December 29, an ex-employee punched the victim in the face during a verbal argument inside the Walmart Neighborhood Market.

5001 N State Road 7

On December 31, the victim advised that he thought a male walking behind him was following him, and when he turned around to confront him, the male punched him in the face and fled the scene before BSO’s arrival.

7000 block of Marlberry Ln – Lake Colony

On December 31, BSO responded out to a physical fight between neighbors. All parties did not want to prosecute.

Burglary Residence

9500 block of NW 65th St – SpyGlass

On December 31,  a delayed report of an unknown male suspect caught looking into the victim’s bedroom windows at night and attempting to open the window.

Domestic Battery

5900 block of NW 66th Ter – Mainlands

On December 30, the offender got into a verbal argument with the victim and punched her in the face. The offender and victim live together in the same household and have been married for 11 years. The offender was taken to BSO Main Jail without incident.

Burglary Conveyance

4800 block of NW 56th Ct – Central Parc

On December 30, the victim left his gun in his unlocked Honda Accord, parked in his driveway. An unknown subject entered the vehicle in the early hours, ransacked the interior, and stole a loaded 9 mm handgun and a spare loaded magazine.

5700 block of NW 48th – Central Parc

On December 29, the victim’s vehicle was burglarized during the night by an unknown subject.

7100 block of NW 78th Ave – Woodmont

On January 2, an unknown suspect (s) broke into the victim’s 2010 silver Honda Accord and stole a prescription medication bottle.

6100 block of Rock Island Rd – The Gate

On January 3, a caller advised that an unknown person broke her SUV driver’s side window and stole her steering wheel airbag. No witnesses, prints were recovered.

4900 block of E Sabal Palm Blvd – Sabal Palm

On January 3, an unknown person burglarized the victim’s SUV and stole her steering wheel airbag. There were no witnesses. No prints were recovered. It should be noted that four Honda CR-V were burglarized in the same manner around the same time.

Information

3116 W Commercial Blvd – Winn Dixie

On December 31, the reporting person advised that a store employee made an inappropriate comment to her daughter while they were all inside the store’s public bathroom.

5213 N State Road 7 – Trapeze

On January 1, the business was found to be operating in violation of the Broward County curfew.

Robbery

8201 N Pine Island Rd – 7 Eleven

On December 30,  BSO met with the 7 Eleven store clerks, who advised an unidentified man attempted to rob them by presenting a note on a Florida Lotto Ticket stating, “Give me all the money in the register.” The male left the area on foot without receiving any money

5041 N State Road 7

On January 1, an armed male suspect attacked the victim and then carjacked her silver 2017 Honda Accord.

Shooting/Unlawful Discharge

4700 block of NW 48th Ter – Hidden Trails

On January 3, a parked 2020 Kia Soul was struck by a bullet at approximately 4:45 a.m. The bullet impacted the windshield, causing it to break.

Theft

9300 block of W Commercial Blvd – Tamarac Village

On December 29, a $520.00 gaming console delivered to an apartment was stolen by the juvenile. The Ring camera confirmed the identity of the neighbor. Contact made with the juvenile and item returned.

4121 W Commercial Blvd – Publix

On January 1, on subject entered the business and selected multiple bottles of alcohol, passing all points of sale, making no attempt to pay.

6714 N University Dr – At’s A Pizza

On December 28,  the reporting party advised that a delivery driver she had hired on 12/26/2020 did not complete his shift on 12/28/2020 after completing multiple deliveries. They stated that the suspect never returned the money he collected from the deliveries since then has avoided all contact with them. An Out-Of custody probable cause was generated.

Arrests

An unnamed (W M 41) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 11021 Sand Dollar Ct, Tamarac, on 12/29/2020.

Kerney, Alan Lee (W M, 64) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 5910 Nw 66th Ter, Tamarac, on 12/30/2020.

Davis, Stevie Lott (B M, 64) was arrested on charges of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense at 6899 Nob Hill Rd/w McNab Rd, Tamarac, on 12/31/2020.

Balda, Spencer Luis (W M, 27) was arrested on charges of Larc-Petit Theft 2nd Degree 1st Offense, at 6714 N University Dr, Tamarac, on 01/01/2021.

An unnamed (B F, 28) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 7750 Nw 78th Av, Tamarac, on 01/01/2021.

Daniel, Rambo Jamie (B M, 23) was arrested on charges of Warrant- Dwls W Knowledge ($2000 Bond) at 7901 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 01/02/2021.

Wilkins, Joseph Clinton (W M, 44) was arrested on charges of at 7000 N University Dr, Tamarac, on 01/04/2021.
