Tamarac Crime and Arrests Through January 25

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime through January 25, 2021.

Abandoned Vehicle

5800 block of NW 46th Ln – Central Parc

On January 19,  a vehicle was abandoned with the engine running in front of a residence. The vehicle had major front end and right side damage. Driver and passenger were observed on camera running away from the car. The vehicle owner was contacted and refused to return to the scene to pick up the car. Vehicle towed and placed on hold for FHP investigation.

Auto Theft

8400 block of NW 61st St – Spectra Apartments

On January 19,  a black 2020 Ford Mustang was taken from the parking lot.

5000 block of NW 50th Ct

On January 24, an unknown subject stole the victim’s gray 2017 Nissan Altima from the driveway of her home. The keyfob was with the vehicle.

Battery

3102 W Commercial Blvd

On January 21, BSO investigated allegations of simple battery on a victim who was followed around at the intersection of Commercial and 31st Ave. (southside median) and was pushed and spat on by the subject. The report was filed, was informed to file charges at West Satellite Courthouse.

Burglary Conveyance

5901 Madison Ave – Arrigo Dodge at Sawgrass

On January 20, The listed victim reported a burglary to a Jeep Wrangler while parked there for over a week time span. A firearm and cash were stolen

5916 N Pine Island Rd

On January 20, an offender repeatedly struck the victim when the victim was inside her vehicle with her two children. The offender fled the scene. NIC was completed.

Fraud

9400 block of NW 70th Pl – Westwood 22

On January 21, BSO spoke with the reporting party via landline, who informed them that her 78-year-old mother was a victim of fraud, and she wanted a police report regarding this incident.

Theft

5901 NW 79th Ave – NSpire Healthcare Tamarac

On January 19, the victim’s wallet was taken from the assisted living facility.

3915 W Commercial Blvd – CVS

On January 19, an unknown subject entered the pharmacy and stole a large number of personal hygiene products.

6400 block of Catalina Ln – Catalina Place

On January 20, the victim’s package was taken from in front of their door.

7500 NW 57th St – Advanced Auto Parts

On January 20, an unknown male selected various items from the store display and exited the store without paying.

5881 N University Dr – Publix

On January 21, a female entered Publix, and selected items, and left without paying. Total $102.99.

3803 W Commercial Blvd – Coin Laundry

On January 21, an unknown female subject took miscellaneous clothing/fabric items from multiple laundry dryers and then left the business in a gray Honda Accord.

Trespassing

10000 block of S Nob Hill Cir – Viscaya Villas

On January 24, the victim had an unknown subject entered her apartment through the front door that she had accidentally left unlocked. She called out to her boyfriend, thinking it was him when she heard the subject, and the subject fled.

Arrests

Fuller, Damian St Aubyn (B M, 43) was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 2nd Degree 2nd Offense at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 01/20/2021.

Ferguson, Jacquita Janae (B F, 26) was arrested on Burgl-with Assault Or Battery charges at 5916 N Pine Island Rd, Tamarac, on 01/20/2021.

Walker, Donnette Loxene (B F, 50) was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dols at 5881 N University Dr, Tamarac, on 01/21/2021.

Wellons, Charles (B M, 34) was arrested on charges of Traffic Offense-DUI Alcohol Or Drugs at 4900 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 01/21/2021.

(B M, 26) was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol at 7651 Nw 88th Ter, Tamarac, on 01/24/2021.

Strickland, Dwayne (B M, 54) was arrested on charges of Warrant-petit Theft-bond $100 at 4989 N State Road 7, Tamarac, on 01/24/2021.
