Tamarac Crime Update and Arrests Through November 16

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crimes through November 16.

Aggravated Assault

2900 block of NW 48th St – Tamarac Lakes

On November 13, the victim advised that her son, a known drug user, has been using drugs again and has been acting erratically. That day, she advised that her son was holding his daughter and refusing to let her go with her and stated to her, “I will cut you.”  She advised that he was making the threats while waving a pair of scissors at the victim.

Animal Bite

W McNab Rd

On November 11, the caller advised her dog bit her neighbor’s niece in the face and wanted to report the incident. The niece was a juvenile.

Auto Theft

7400 block of N University Dr

On November 11, the victim’s vehicle was stolen in the parking lot of her work.

7400 block of Woodmont Ter – Woodmont

On November 11, the victim reported unknown suspect (s) stole his 2017 gray Nissan Altima.

8700 block of NW 61st St

On November 11, the victim parked his vehicle in his parking lot and woke up to find it missing.

5901 Madison Ave – Arrigo Dodge

On November 6, and reported November 12, a 2018 Ford F150-Raptor, No tag, was stolen between 11/06/2020 – 11/07/2020. The vehicle is valued at $58,561.

5801 Madison Ave – Sawgrass Infiniti

Between November 5 and November 14, an auto theft investigation was about a black 2017 Infiniti QX60. The vehicle is valued at $26,000—no suspects at this time.

Battery

7700 block of Southampton Ter – Southhampton

On November 12, the victim was shoved in the chest by a roommate. The shove resulted in her falling onto the ground, hitting her head, and suffering a laceration above her right eye. The suspect left the scene following the incident.

Burglary Business

5469 N State Road 7 – Black Jade Studios

On November 11, an unknown person(s) broke an exterior window, made entry into the listed business, and stole several items. No Surveillance or Latent Prints collected. DNA evidence was collected.

Burglary Conveyance

6000 block of Shakerwood Cir – Shaker Woods Commons Apts

On November 10, between 11/9 at 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. on 11/10 unknown suspect entered the unlocked door to the victim’s Nissan Armada. A black wallet in plain view in the center console was stolen, which contained a FL D/L, Master Card, and Wells Fargo debit card.

3800 W Commercial Blvd – La Quinta

On November 10, an unknown suspect broke into the victim’s vehicle and stole a small bag from the front seat area. Crime scene processed.

5200 block of N State Road 7

On November 13, the victim observed his Chrysler 300s driver’s side rear window smashed open. The stolen property consists of a wallet, along with the contents inside.

7600 block of W McNab Rd

On November 13, an unknown suspect smashed the passenger side window on two vehicles. They only took a small black wallet that contained the vehicle registration from one of the vehicles.

Robbery by Sudden Snatching

8200 block of N Pine Island Rd,

On November 11, the victim was loading her groceries into her vehicle. The suspect drove past her in the parking lot and grabbed her purse. The subject left the area in a small gray car.

Theft – Pocket Picking

5755 N University Dr – Ross

On November 12, the victim advised of her wallet being stolen while inside Ross.

Arrests

Phillips, Kamari Armani (B M, 20) was arrested on charges of Burgl-dwelling Unoccupied/Unarmed at 4539 Treehouse Ln, Tamarac, on 11/11/2020.

Strockbine, Richard C. (W M, 59) was arrested on charges of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs Offense at 3914 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 11/12/2020.

Viscuso, Joseph M. (W M, 37) was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/ Deadly Weapon- Domestic Viol at 2932 Nw 48th St, Tamarac 11/13/2020.

Albo, Anthony Angel (W M, 31) was arrested on charges of Warrant/aggravated Battery Cause Bodily Harm at 8200 N University Dr, Tamarac, on 11/13/2020.

Labarbera, Victoria Lori (W F, 41) was arrested on charges of Larc-petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 300 Dols at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 11/14/2020.
