Tamarac Crime Update: Armed Robberies and Bullets Fired Toward Home

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through February 28, 2022.

Auto Theft

E. Sabal Palm Blvd.

On 02/23/2022, an unknown suspect stole a 62-year-old man’s 2021 Honda Accord from a guest parking space.

Battery

NW 82nd St.

On 02/28/2022, a 38-year-old female was the victim of a battery. She said a man bit her during an argument, then threw a brick through her rear window before fleeing.

Burglary Conveyance

E. Sabal Palm Blvd.

On 02/25/2022, four victims in the same building reported delayed burglary conveyances to their locked vehicles. All the vehicles had their glass windows smashed with an unknown object and were entered. Tot. Est. Loss: $295.

Criminal Mischief

NW 75th St.

On 02/22/2022, a man fired several rounds from a handgun toward an occupied residence.

Fire

W. Commercial Blvd.

On 02/25/2022, a 1979 Lincoln belonging to a 67-year-old man mysteriously caught fire while being driven.

Robbery

NW 78th St.

On 02/25/2022, a 21-year-old female was the victim of a robbery. Two unidentified men armed with pistols robbed her and got away, possibly in a white Chevy Malibu. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,606.

N. State Rd. 7

On 02/25/2022, an 18-year-old male was the victim of a robbery. The victim exited a restaurant and was approached by two subjects who demanded his property at gunpoint. They left in an unknown direction with the man’s phone and wallet and are still at large. The man was not injured. Tot. Est. Loss: $414.

Arrests

Simpson, Rasheed, 19, was arrested on charges of Damaging Property on NW 75th St. on 02/22/2022.

Roselione, Brian F., 48, was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/ Deadly Weapon Domestic Viol on Nw 80th St on 02/22/2022.

Wallace, Candice, 35, was arrested on charges of Battery-Cause Bodily Harm – Domestic Violence on Treehouse Ln on 02/22/2022.

Petion, Jason David, 19, was arrested on charges of Burgl-conveyance, Unoccupied/unarmed on Nw 48th Ln on 02/24/2022.

Smith, Dean Anthony, 21, was arrested on charges of Burgl-conveyance, Unoccupied/unarmed on Nw 48th Ln on 02/24/2022.

Ali, Ameer, 33, was arrested on charges of Robbery-no Firearm Or Weapon on N University Dr on 02/25/2022.

Baez, Luz Mery, 49, was arrested on charges of Agg Assault W/ Deadly Weapon Domestic Viol on Nw 65th St on 02/26/2022.
