Tamarac Crime Update Through June 3

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes that occurred in Tamarac through June 3.  Names of those not arrested have been redacted.

Auto Theft

6700 block of NW 70th St. Mainlands

On May 29, a white 2018 Nissan Sentra was stolen from the driveway of the owner /victim.

5800 block of NW 70th Ter,

On June 1, the victim parked his 2008 silver Honda Accord in front of his residence. Vehicle was stolen on 6/01/2019 between 8:40 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. by unknown suspect(s). Tools valued at $700.00 and vehicle key were left inside the vehicle.

Battery

6502 NW 72nd Ave.

On June 2, the victim stated that her ex-boyfriend Charles Rosaly intentionally struck her against her will and choked her around her neck.

Burglary Conveyance

5923 Riverside Ave. Riverside Townhomes

On May 28,  a subject entered the victim’s vehicle and ransacked the interior, but no items were reported stolen.

8601 W Commercial Blvd.  Tamarac Community Center

On May 31, a woman was the victim of a burglary conveyance by an unknown subject.

Criminal Mischief

9000 block of W Mcnab Rd.

On May 29, a suspect broke off the passenger side mirror of the victim’s vehicle; a 2018 white Dodge Charger. The suspect fled in a brown Mercury Grand Marquis.

7200 block of NW 76th St,

On May 31, an unknown person(s) struck and damaged victims windshield while it was parked unattended in his driveway.

Domestic Disturbance

8000 block of NW 96th Ter.  Coral Vista

Allegations of an altercation. Uncooperative reporting person.

5600 block of  Rock Island Rd.  Sun Vista Gardens

On June 2, two females in a relationship were arguing and breaking items within their household. No physical violence.

Fraud

7001 W Commercial Blvd. Americare Home Health Services Inc

Reported on May 29, they said on April 12, 2019; a fraudulent business check was cashed at the above location.

4600 block of NW 45th Ct.

On April 24 and reported on May 31, an unknown suspect(s) took an online loan at Speedycash.com for $600 under the victim’s name.

460o block of NW 30th Terr.

On March 22, victim wire transferred $1,900 to an unknown person as a deposit for a rental house that he contacted on Craigs List.

Indecent Exposure

8191 W Commercial Blvd.  InTown Suites

On May 31, an unknown black male showed an employee at the hotel his penis.

Information

NW 43rd Av.

On May 28,  a realtor stated that an unidentified male posted one of her listings for a house she has for sale on Craigslist for rent.

5803 NW 94th Av.Millennium Collegiate Academy

On May 28, a student ran out of the classroom attempting to remove himself from a situation involving another student.

7400 block of NW 85th Ct.  Southgate Gardens

On May 28, the subject attempted to assist the parent with carrying her son; however, the parent refused the help and thought it was an attempted kidnapping.

6600 block of NW 76th Ct. Vanguard Village

On June 1, Neighbor dug up plants that appeared to be over the property line and placed them back on other neighbors property. Based on the property line stake, the neighbor who dug up the plants was within their right to remove the plants where they were planted. Plants did not appear to be damaged and could be replanted. This is an ongoing issue between the two neighbors.

5700 NW 94th Av, Temple Beth Torah

Reported June 3, a broken window was discovered at the temple.

Theft

4197 W Commercial Blvd. Marshall’s

On May 25, the victim dropped her phone while shopping in Marshalls. The phone seemed to be picked up by an unknown individual as the phone’s last known location on “find my iPhone” app showed the intersection of W Commercial Blvd and N SR 7.

6401 W Commercial Blvd. Walgreens

On May 26, an unidentified black male subject entered the store, concealed items in a personal bag, and proceeded to exit the store without attempting to pay.

7700 block of NW 78th Av, Woodmont

On May 24, an unknown suspect(s) stole a package that an Amazon driver left at the victims front door. The total loss was $29.95.

9700 block of  NW 66th Ct.

On May 28, the victim reported that a suspect stole a piece of mail from her mailbox just after it was delivered.

8191 W Commercial Blvd. InTown Suites

On May 29, an unknown person stole victim’s Florida License Plate while it was parked unattended in the parking lot.

Other Arrestable Offenses

9401 W Commercial Blvd.

On May 28, the subject was stopped for speeding. The subject gave false ID info. The subject was driving while license suspended.

Suspicious Incident

5880 block of N University Dr.

On June 1, reported on June 3, a suspicious incident took place in Sunrise, FL but was followed through Tamarac, FL. The victim explained she was being followed and called out by two vehicles, Vehicle #1 one unknown B/M and Vehicle #2 two B/M, from her residence in Sunrise.

Theft

8233 N Pine Island Rd. Dollar Tree

On June 3, a female victim reported that her wallet was pickpocketed out of her purse while shopping at Dollar Tree.

Stone, John Henry, 57, was arrested on charges of Fraud-impersonate-false Id at 9401 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 05/28/2019.

Minaya, Emily, 18, was arrested on charges of Warrant Burglary Convey at 7104 Nw 79th Av, Tamarac, on 05/29/2019.

Dowling, Jaquis Torrine, 28, was arrested on charges of Warrant- Poss Of Controlled Substance at 4140 Lakeside Dr, Tamarac, on 05/30/2019.

Lopez Torres, Jose Manuel, 26, was arrested on charges of DUI Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense at 4999 Nw 47th Ter, Tamarac, on 05/31/2019.

Ortiz Luna, Angel Arnaldo, 43, was arrested on charges of Firing Weapon-discharge Firearm In Public at 7202 Nw 61st St, Tamarac, on 05/31/2019.

Meloi, Tiffany Rose, 22, was arrested on charges of DUI Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense at 4700 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 06/01/2019.

Rosaly, Charles Lee,  55, was arrested on charges of Battery-commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation, at 6502 Nw 72nd Ave, Tamarac, on 06/02/2019.

Matos Ortiz, William Zavier,  25, was arrested on charges of Larc-Petit Theft 2nd Degree 3rd Subsq Offense at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 06/03/2019.

Lemon, Anthony Rachard, 40, was arrested on charges of Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Violat 5001 N Sr 7, Tamarac, on 06/03/2019
