Sheriff Scott Israel and Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie teamed up to kick off the “Think B4U Post” initiative at Tequesta Trace Middle School in Weston on Wednesday.
When Sheriff Israel and Superintendent Runcie addressed the sixth graders, they stressed the importance of proper online use and the consequences of negative practices. The students were the first to view the “Think B4U Post” public service announcement video.
After taking a pledge to practice safe and respectful online use, the youngsters were entertained by Miami Heat dancers and mascot Burnie.
The educational campaign will continue next week in schools in Tamarac with lessons and activities aimed at getting each student to “Think B4U Post”.
