The band behind “You Belong to Me” and “Have You Heard,” The Duprees bring their signature harmonies and classic pop and doo-wop favorites to the Kings Point Palace.
Formed in Jersey City in the early 1960s, The Duprees followed their breakthrough with hits including “My Own True Love” and “Why Don’t You Believe Me.”
Current lead singer Tommy Petillo first joined the group in 1978 and performed alongside original members Mike Arnone, Joe Santolo, and John Salvato. Today, Petillo, Jimmy Spinelli, and Shawn Stevens continue touring with The Duprees, carrying the group’s catalog to audiences around the country. The original members were inducted into the Vocal Group Hall of Fame in 2006.
The show is held on Saturday, October 3, at 8 p.m., and costs $25 for Kings Point residents and $30 for guests.
Box office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Wednesday and 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday. On Saturdays, tickets are available at the Clubhouse from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and at the Palace from 7 to 8:15 p.m.
Reminder: Shorts are not permitted in the theater. All attendees must be 18 years or older for all shows. Kings Point Palace is open to the public.
The Palace at Kings Point is located at 7622 NW 76th St. in Tamarac.
