Youth Soccer Registration Opening August 30 in Tamarac

Online registration for the City of Tamarac Youth Soccer league opens on August 30 and runs through October 8, the city announced. 

The youth soccer league is one of a wide range of youth sports and youth and adult recreational activities organized by the city. The offers access to a program that promotes cognitive development, improves fitness, teaches respect, responsibility, and sportsmanship, and encourages socialization. 

For new players, a skills evaluation will take place at Tamarac Park, 7501 N. University Drive, from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 20. The cost for participation in the league is $85 for Tamarac residents and $100 for non-residents.

All players under the age of 18 are required to provide a birth certificate for placement into an age-specific divisional team. 

The league will be split into six divisions, based on the participant’s age as of January 1, 2022. Registration is available for children 4 – 17, with teams comprised of the following age brackets:

Team practices are held twice weekly, beginning the week of November 29. The league’s eight-game season begins on January 8, 2022, with games held weekly on Saturday mornings or afternoons at the Tamarac Sports Complex.
