Armed Suspects Rob Tamarac Cellphone Store in This Week’s Crime Update

The Broward Sheriff’s Office Burglary Apprehension Team (BAT) works to put the brakes on high-end auto theft.

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through February 22, 2021.

Aggravated Battery

3803 W Commercial Blvd – Coin Laundry

On February 21, Randall, Ferondo reportedly committed domestic violence aggravated battery, and a check revealed Ferondo has an active warrant for Felony Criminal Mischief – no bond. Ferondo was transported to the main jail.

Armed Robbery

4980 N State Road 7 – Metro PCS

On February 16,  two unknown male armed suspects robbed the Metro PCS, stealing nine cell phones and approximately $776 cash. None of the victims inside the store were harmed. Suspects fled on foot. Tot. Est. Loss: $7,466.

Auto Theft

760 block of Westwood Dr – South Palm Place

On February 16,  the victim’s 2008 white Honda CBR1000 motorcycle was taken overnight.

4780 W Commercial Blvd

On February 18, the victim advised that his vehicle was stolen. He had the only key. It was not towed or repossessed. BSO Auto Theft Affidavit was signed. Surveillance is Pending.

7000 block of NW 57th Ct – Mainlands 9

On February 19,  a vehicle was stolen from the driveway.

Battery

5800 block of NW 57th Ct – Chelsea Place

On February 17,  the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with the suspect over two dogs brought into the victim’s apartment by him. When the victim told him to clean up after the dogs, he became upset and slapped her on the left side of her face and neck, causing red bruising. The victim did not want to cooperate and wants a restraining order. The suspect does not reside in the home.

7700 block of N Pine Island Rd  – Woodmont Holly Court

On February 18, an Uber driver advised another driver attacked him while he was sitting inside his vehicle following a road rage incident. The victim sustained a minor laceration to his left upper eye. The suspect fled the scene.

Burglary Conveyance

2700 block of NW 48th St – Tamarac Lakes South

On February 19, two victims in the same neighborhood reported a delayed burglary conveyance to their unlocked vehicles. Nothing was taken from inside the vehicles. Area canvassed for video surveillance.

7700 block NW 78th Ave – Midora at Woodmont

On February 20, unknown subject(s) entered the victim’s black 2015 Honda Civic and stole a wallet from the passenger side glove compartment.  Tot. Est. Loss: $294.

Burglary Residence

7900 block Nob Hill Rd – Saint Andrews

On February 18, the victim advised an unknown suspect(s) to attempt to make a forced entry into her residence through the front door. No entry was made into the residence.

5700 bock NW 70th Ter

On February 19,  a residential burglary occurred. Tot.Est.Loss: $1,300.

5100 block Island Club Dr

On February 20, BSO made contact with the victim, who reported an attempted residential burglary.

4400 block of Treehouse Ln – Arbor Keys

On February 20, an unknown subject lifted the rubber seal on a screen door to access the screen door lock and unlawfully enter the structure. Subject stole items listed in the report. Tot. Est. Loss: $1,680.

Domestic Disturbance

3800 block W Commercial Blvd – Extended Stay

On February 19, BSO Made contact with the victim, who advised the suspect was belligerent and causing a disturbance within the hotel room. The victim advised that the subject grabbed a kitchen knife in a non-threatening manner and stood in the kitchen with it. The victim advised that she wanted out of the room. The suspect left the location and was informed not to come back.

False Report

Incontro Italian Cuisine Steakhouse

8100 block of NW 72nd Ave – Heathgate

On February 18, BSO responded to an alleged delayed kidnapping of an 11-year-old child. It was later discovered that the incident was a lie.

Fraud

5800 block of N University Dr – Citibank

On January 8, Victim advised their bank account has been fraudulently used to withdraw money from a Citibank ATM. Tot. Est. Loss: $440.

7200 block of Woodmont Ave

On February 18, the victim advised an unknown suspect(s) requested unemployment benefits from the state of Florida on her behalf.

5800 block of N University Dr – Citibank

On February 19, the victim’s debit card was used at an ATM to withdraw $1,500 on February 13.

7431 N University Dr,  Oncology & Hematology

On February 10,  an employee gave a paystub from her employment place to another to possibly obtain a vehicle. The paystub was altered, using the other person’s name on it.

Missing Person

No address listed

On February 18, BSO responded to a document of a delayed missing person report at the Tamarac district office for a habitual runaway.

Property Damage

8200 block of N University Dr – Mobil

On February 16, a vehicle drove off from the gas station while the gas hose was still inside the vehicle. The damage caused a gas leak and significant damage to the gas hose and gas pump.

8000 block of S Colony Cir – Versailles Gardens

On February 16, during a heavy rainstorm, the apartment roof collapsed and flooded multiple apartments.

Theft

5700 block NW 64th Ave – Bermuda Club

In January, and reported February 16, the reporter stated that a person was the victim of theft after someone deposited checks totaling $550 into a Wells Fargo account. Advised that the name on the checks was the victim, and her brother knew him. Chase was notified, and the remaining checks were frozen.

3900 block W Commercial Blvd – CVS

ON February 17, Wilson, John L shoplifted at CVS for a total of $290.19. Wilson was taken to the Broward County Main Jail.

4900 block of NW 48th Ave – Mainlands

On February 19, an unknown female stole a ring and a necklace from the victim’s residence for a total loss of $2,100.

Trespassing

2400 W Commercial Blvd – AT&T Mobility

On February 17, a male subject was causing a disturbance, and a trespass warning was issued. The subject disobeyed the warning and was arrested.

Wilson, John (B M, 46) was arrested on charges of Larc-Petit Theft 1st Degree 100 Less 750 Dols at 3915 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 02/17/2021.

Saintbreux, Herren (B M, 21) was arrested on charges of Trespassing-Occupied Structure Or Conveyance at 2400 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 02/17/2021.

Liburd, Travis Richard (B M, 24) was arrested on charges of Warrant-criminal Mischief-bond $500 at 5301 N State Road 7, Tamarac, on 02/19/2021.

Jones, Malik Lavon (B M, 23) was arrested on charges of Warrant at 7515 N Pine Island Rd, Tamarac, on 02/20/2021.

Roper, Louis Leopold (B M, 24) was arrested on charges of Fraud-Impersonate-False ID Given To Law Enforcement at 5001 N State Road 7, Tamarac, on 02/21/2021.

Randall, Ferondo Lajuan (B M, 45) was arrested on charges of Battery-Commit Domestic Battery By Strangulation at 3803 W Commercial Blvd, Tamarac, on 02/21/2021.
