A BB&T bank branch located at the Sunshine Plaza in Tamarac was robbed and authorities need your help to identify the suspect.
At 9:55 a.m this morning, a man entered the BB&T location at 4211 W. Commercial Blvd, displayed a weapon and demanded money from a bank employee. There were no shots fired and no injuries. Money was taken, but authorities won’t release the amount.
The suspect is a black male wearing a checkered shirt, a hat, and baggy jeans. At this time, it is too early in the investigation to link the man with other recent bank robberies in the area.
If anyone has information as to the identity of this bank robber, they are urged to call the FBI at 754-703-2000 or Crimestoppers.
