Broward Early Voting Kicks Off With 21 Locations

Broward County voters will have the opportunity to cast their ballots early beginning Saturday, Aug. 8, ahead of the Aug. 18 Primary Election.

Early voting will run daily through Sunday, Aug. 16, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at 21 locations across Broward County.

Eligible Broward County voters may vote at any early voting site, regardless of where they live within the county.

Florida is a closed-primary state, meaning voters will receive the ballot for the political party in which they are registered. All registered voters, however, may participate in nonpartisan contests and any universal primary races that appear on their ballot.

Voters must present a current, valid photo identification that includes their signature. Accessible voting equipment will be available at every early voting site for voters with disabilities.

Secure Ballot Intake Stations, commonly known as drop boxes, will also be available at all early voting locations during voting hours and at the Broward County Supervisor of Elections’ permanent branch offices.

“We encourage voters to make a plan, vote early and bring a friend or family member with them to one of the 21 locations opened throughout the County,” Broward County Supervisor of Elections Joe Scott said. “The beauty about Early Voting is that it gives voters the flexibility to cast their ballot at a time and place that is most convenient for them.”

Voters are encouraged to review their sample ballot and verify their voter registration information before heading to the polls.

Important election dates include:

Vote-by-mail ballot return deadline: Aug. 6 by 7 p.m.
Early voting: Aug. 8-16, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Election Day: Tuesday, Aug. 18, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
