Broward Health North welcomed 12 fifth-grade students from Christian Life Academy for a special hospital tour, offering them an inside look at healthcare operations.
In November, the students visited several areas of the hospital at 201 E Sample Road in Pompano Beach, including the Emergency Department, where they learned how patients receive emergency care.
Hospital leaders joined the tour to answer questions and provide insights into the medical field.
During the visit, the students saw demonstrations of advanced medical technology, such as a CT scanner and robotic systems used in surgeries. They also got an up-close look at a fire truck, courtesy of Broward Sheriff’s Office Fire Rescue.
“Our goal as educators is to help develop the next generation to reach their potential,” said Stacy Angier, principal of Christian Life Academy and a commissioner with the North Broward Hospital District. “I thank the team at Broward Health North for an inspiring tour in which our students learned about healthcare and the technology used to care for patients.”
Christian Life Academy, located at 4905 W. Prospect Road in Tamarac, is a private school that offers a religious education that focuses on spiritual growth and academic excellence.
