Beginning May 1, Broward County Public Schools will open the School Choice application window for the 2019/20 school year, where parents can apply online for a school reassignments, innovative, career technical education, collegiate academies and magnet programs.
During the School Choice Phase II application process, parents and guardians may submit applications for schools with available seats from the initial School Choice application window, which took place earlier this school year.
Phase II is divided into multiple application periods to provide families with quicker notifications regarding the status of their child’s application:

May 1 – May 8, 2019
Application Status Notification
June 5, 2019
Online Applications Submitted
July 1 – July 8, 2019
Application Status Notification
August 5, 2019
Families of students placed in a wait pool following the Phase I application window, do not need to submit another application for Phase II, unless a different school or magnet program is desired. If they are applying for the first time during Phase II, they only need to apply during one of the application periods listed above, and if a student is placed in a wait pool, the application remains active during the entire Phase II process.
