Seraphina Gingles and Nathan Gingles have been located. Before 11 a.m. this morning, Broward Sheriff’s Office V.I.P.E.R. deputies located the 2016 silver BMW X3 involved in this incident. The vehicle was located at 7900 West McNab Road in North Lauderdale. At this time, the investigation into the incident remains active and ongoing.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal shooting in Tamarac that has led to a statewide Amber Alert for a missing four-year-old girl.
According to BSO, at approximately 6:02 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 16, deputies responded to reports of a shooting in the 5700 block of Plum Bay Parkway. When they arrived, they discovered an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. Paramedics with Tamarac Fire Rescue pronounced him deceased at the scene.
As part of the ongoing investigation, authorities learned that a four-year-old child, Seraphina Gingles, was taken from the residence. A Florida Amber Alert has been issued for Seraphina, who is believed to have been abducted by Nathan Gingles, 43.
Nathan Gingles was last seen driving a 2016 silver BMW X3 with a Texas license plate: 5DV2950. The vehicle was spotted heading eastbound on West Commercial Boulevard in Tamarac shortly after 6 a.m.
Authorities believe Seraphina’s mother, Mary Catherine Gingles, 34, may also be with them. Both Mary Catherine and Seraphina are considered endangered.
BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units remain on-site conducting a death investigation, with multiple resources dedicated to locating the missing individuals.
Anyone with information on their whereabouts is urged not to approach and instead call 911 or contact BSO at 954-764-HELP (4357).
