Get ready to vote in Broward County! March 19th is the Presidential Preference Primary Election for both parties. Absentee, early voting, and election-day voting are available to all voters throughout Broward County. Remember that democracy counts on you to make your voice heard.
As I have done for the past few elections, I look forward to assisting the Canvassing Board as one of the Broward County Commission’s mandated representatives. The goal is a smooth and transparent election process. If you have any questions, please visit www.browardvotes.gov for more information.
Broward County will be holding its annual strategic planning retreat on March 7th. As the County Commissioner for District 3, I look forward to attending this conference and bringing our residents’ needs to the forefront for County Administration and Departments.
Our focus will be launching Broward County’s Strategic Plan for FY 23-28, discussing Commissioner priorities, the FY24 Budget Process, and the Convention Center Expansion and hotel construction progress. I look forward to working with my fellow Commissioners, the Administration, and the Broward County team during this important planning process.
At the end of February, I attended Israel Day at the Florida State Capitol. It was my honor to advocate and highlight Broward County’s strong relationship with the State of Israel. The event displayed the strong economic ties between Florida and Israeli businesses and how we can continue these relationships through these perilous times for Israel. This event, hosted by the Consulate General of Israel in Miami and the Florida Legislative Jewish Caucus, will hopefully lead to more partnerships between our region, the nation, and the State of Israel.
While the rest of the country is cold and snowy, we are enjoying the moderate temperatures and blue skies here in South Florida. March also means spring break will be in full force for local students and visitors alike. Whether your destination is here, a flight out of FLL to another locale, or a cruise out of Port Everglades please be safe and responsible while celebrating a little rest and relaxation!
Finally, I would like to wish all who celebrate a Happy Easter. I look forward to joining some of the many egg hunts throughout District 3 and hope you will take this opportunity to enjoy family and all the great community events.
The top priority in my office is that we stay in contact with the residents of District 3 and Broward County. We are available by phone, email, and social media. Reach me at MUdine@Broward.org or at my office at (954) 357-7003.
