Tamarac Crime Update: Female Alleges Battery By Lyft Driver

Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates with residents, this is a summary of Tamarac crime and arrests through April 4, 2022.


Sanibel Dr.

A female was the victim of a Battery on 03/27/2022. The victim stated her fiancée of three years choked her and punched her in the face.

N. University Dr.

On 04/01/2022, a female passenger in a Lyft vehicle stated the driver was rude and got into their face and slapped their hand before driving off.

Burglary Conveyance

Gate Lake Rd.

An 18-year-old female was the victim of Burglary Conveyance on 03/28/2022. Unknown person(s) unlawfully entered the victim’s vehicle. Tot. Est. Loss: $340.

Island Club Dr.

On 03/28/2022, an unknown person(s) smashed out the front passenger window of the victim’s vehicle and stole a black backpack with $600 cash inside. Tot. Est. Loss: $620.

NW 58th St.

On 04/03/2022, an unknown person(s) unlawfully entered the victim’s vehicle. Tot. Est. Loss: $10,600.


Lime Bay Blvd.

A person was the victim of Fraud – False Pretense. The victim purchased 2 Visa gift cards totaling $800 for a subject who claimed to be from New York City Lottery Headquarters and provided them with the gift card information. The gift cards have already been used. The suspect informed the victim that they would also need a loan for $1,500 so that they could deliver him a new Mercedes SUV and a check for $11,000. Deputies advised the victim not to send any more money to the person. Tot. Est. Loss: $800. 


W.Commercial Blvd.

Theft of gasoline was reported on 03/31/2022. An unknown suspect broke into a pump at a business and stole an unknown quantity of gas.


Mclaughlin, Kenisha Ramora Marah, 36, was arrested on Touch Or Strike/battery/domestic Viol charges on Woodmont Ave on 03/28/2022.

Alvarado, Jose Daniel, 29, was arrested on charges of Aggrav Assault – Weapon-w Deadly Weapon Without Intent To Kill on Nob Hill Rd/Southgate Blvd on 03/29/2022.

Raymonvil, Steven Travis, 29, was arrested on charges of Robbery-carjacking Without Firearm Or Weapon on Commercial Blvd on 03/31/2022.

Acevedo, Yancy Napolis, 37, was arrested on charges of Damage Prop-crim Misch-1000 Dols Or More on Commercial Blvd on 04/01/2022.

Reynolds, Kamara Atiba, 32, was arrested on charges of Dui Alcohol Or Drugs 1st Offense on N University Dr on 04/02/2022.
