Detectives with the Broward Sheriff’s Office Homicide Unit are investigating a fatal shooting that occurred Saturday night in North Lauderdale.
Shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 28, Broward County Regional Communications received a report of a shooting in the 6500 block of Harbour Road. Deputies responded to the scene along with North Lauderdale Fire Rescue.
When deputies arrived, they located an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. The victim, identified as Isaiah Coney, 26, was airlifted to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
BSO’s Homicide and Crime Scene units responded to investigate. Detectives have not released additional details about a possible suspect or motive.
