Detectives are investigating after a person died in Tamarac Friday morning.
Broward Regional Communications received a report of an injured person in the area of University Drive and West McNab Road in Tamarac shortly before 7 a.m., according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
Tamarac District deputies and Tamarac Fire Rescue responded. One victim was located and transported to an area hospital where they were later pronounced dead, deputies said.
As of 9:40 a.m., the northbound lanes of University Drive at McNab Road in Tamarac were closed “until further notice” for an investigation. Motorists were being asked to seek alternate routes.
