Gus is a lovely pup who is ready to meet his new family. This four-year-old Labrador Retriever mix is playful and loves to be around people.
According to Broward County Animal Care, Gus is 48 pounds and has had some training. He follows commands nicely, sits, gives a paw, and takes the treats very gently. He arrived at the shelter in May and, since then, had a lot of staff playtime and plenty of practice walking on a leash.
Gus loves car rides and is genuinely a great companion, always ready for an adventure, a walk in a park, or a good round of fetch.
To adopt Gus (A2191359), foster, or take a dog out for lunch, email the shelter at foster@broward.org. To schedule a meet-and-greet appointment and learn more about adoptable pets, email ACADadoptions@broward.org.
The Adoption Center at Broward County Animal Care is located at 2400 SW 42 Street, Fort Lauderdale, and is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Adoptions are free and include spaying/neutering, vaccinations, a microchip, and a Broward County pet license tag.
