The Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce is calling on residents and businesses to help families in need through its annual community food drive, running through Nov. 17.

The chamber’s food drive, which began Oct. 15, encourages the community to donate nonperishable food items to support local families facing food insecurity.

Under the theme “Spread the Love,” the initiative aims to bring residents and businesses together to make a meaningful difference for those in need.

Requested donations include canned meats, fruits and vegetables, rice, beans, pasta, cereal, crackers, jams, snacks and other nonperishable foods.

Donations can be dropped off at three Tamarac locations: Moose Lodge, 6191 Rock Island Road; Woodmont Country Club, 7801 NW 80th Ave.; and the Tamarac North Lauderdale Chamber of Commerce office, 7525 NW 88th Ave.

The food drive continues through Tuesday, Nov. 17.
