The Go Green Expo presented by the Tamarac Parks and Recreation Department was held on Saturday, May 21st at the Tamarac Community Center. The event included free health screening such as hearing, blood pressure and a mobile “Mammovan.”
There was also free glucose and cholesterol screening, vegetarian chef Brook Katz, fitness demonstrations, earth friendly vendors, Joy Deco dancers, Jingles the Clown and many others. Fun event for the whole family, however, I was expecting more “Green” vendors there. There were the same array of companies and clubs that are at many of the other Tamarac Events. I realize this is a new event, but in the future, I would love to see them stick with the theme.
