Goodwill South Florida will celebrate the grand opening of its newest retail store and donation center at 5837 N. University Drive in Tamarac on Tuesday, March 10.
The event will include remarks from Goodwill South Florida President David Landsberg and Tamarac Mayor Michelle J. Gomez, followed by a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The location was the former Bealls Outlet store.
Attendees will also enjoy hourly giveaways, a live DJ, and an interactive area highlighting the nonprofit’s mission services. The first 100 guests entering the new store will receive a special gift.
According to Goodwill, the Tamarac location marks South Florida’s first new store in Broward County since 2018. Shoppers will see the organization’s refreshed branding, featuring vibrant imagery that reflects the diversity of the communities it serves and the individuals behind its mission.
The more than 20,000-square-foot store will offer residents a convenient place to shop sustainably and donate gently used items. The new location is also expected to create approximately 25 jobs in the community.
All purchases made at Goodwill South Florida locations support the organization’s job training and placement programs, which help individuals develop skills, secure employment, and achieve independence.
Remarks from the Mayor and President of Goodwill South Florida will begin at 9 a.m., and the ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 9:30 a.m.
