A man hit by a car in an August crash in Tamarac has died from his injuries, authorities said Wednesday.
Kenton Edwards was crossing the street at the intersection of West Commercial Boulevard and North State Road 7 around 9:36 p.m. August 15 when he walked into the path of a 2007 BMW 328i driven by Tyler Fulmore, 26, of Pompano Beach, according to the Broward Sheriff’s Office.
According to BSO traffic homicide detectives, Fulmore fled the scene in the BMW after the impact. Detectives said he later returned to the scene.
Paramedics took Edwards to Broward Health Medical Center for treatment. On September 1, he died from injuries suffered in the crash, according to BSO.
The agency did not release Edwards’ age, hometown, or any additional personal information, citing Marsy’s Law.
Detectives are actively investigating the crash.
