A man was found murdered in a vehicle following a shooting and two-vehicle crash in Tamarac Wednesday morning, authorities said.
According to the Broward Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a call reporting a vehicle crash and gunshots near the 6300 block of West Commercial Boulevard around 2:19 a.m.
Deputies at the scene found Christopher Mathurin dead inside a vehicle. Their preliminary investigation revealed a shooting had taken place and that two vehicles had crashed, according to BSO.
The person or people in the second vehicle fled the scene, deputies said.
BSO did not immediately release additional details, including whether Mathurin had been shot.

A concrete wall damaged in the crashes will be boarded up today and repaired later with help from a contractor, said Tamarac Mayor Michelle Gomez.
